While we are speaking of sets there are a number of Robe sets that are classed as heavy or medium armour making it really hard for my sorcerer to wear.

One of those that comes to mind is Choc Robes of Flames and I think Muriels Rob is classed as heavy armour as well (IIRC)

HUH? Are you sure??? If so, I Will INDEED correct that. I though they were set as 'clothes'. Hm

I'm pretty sure chocs are (the ones found in the secret area on level 11)

I also think Muriels are but I'm not 100% sure. My weimic has them and I have been playing around with my sorcerer so I havn't looked for a while.

The whole clothing/light armor/medium armor/heavy armor thing depends entirely on the base AC it gives. Clothing is AC 0, Light is AC 1 to AC 3, medium is AC4 to AC 5, Heavy is 6 to 8.
The base AC it gives depends entirely on the appearance type of the torso.
