Agree with Stig TC. It is to easy to die early in undermountain.

Once you have estalished a character you realy don't want to lose it.

It is possible to go solo in EfU. What might be interessting is to make it necessary to get a party together, level 30 say, to go after Halser. Death traps, severe fighting and (those who are left) to encounter a real enemy.

But what would happen if you beat Halaster?
What would happen to the Undermoutain?

On another note, I'd also like to see people forming groups instead of going off on their own. Soloing through Undermountain is tough, especially for people who play Wizards/Sorcerers or Spellcaster Multi-classes. Sometimes you just need a bit of help.

What is wrong with the people that come to This or any other forum? They only read the first couple of posts then FREEK and start saying NO! NO! NO! you can't do that. I see now that these people are NOT RPG gamers and they know nothing about RPG games!! In RPG games PC's DIE! It happens get over it. I have made Thousands of Characters in my life playing RPG Games don't any of you people realize that If your character dies You DON't loose it? you just reload your save game. I have played on hundreds of servers and you don't loose your PC it doesn't vanish into thin air. you simply reload your PC from the server vault and start over from The yawning portal Inn or from where ever you last saved from.
The only thing you loose is that days progression and you can't respawn unless somebody resurects you. all the people that have just started playing NWN and on the Undermountain this year really need to read your rule Book. When your PC dies in the game reload your last saved character and quit winning about it took me sooooooo long to make my character. You don't LOOSE THE PC or HIS STATS just that nights progress. If your really going to worry about loosing then you need to find another Hobby because it is part of the game. Avery big part!!

you really need to learn how to get through the undermountain alone because, when Ziroc finally lets us download the undermountain for our own personal use as a single player game there isn't going to be anybody around to help you.

Can we please get back on topic. Z just wants ideas on what to do in Undermountain. its no use arguing about it just present your idea and then listen to others. Its not as though TCB's idea is set in stone.

Also TCB its no use going on about other peoples opinion. Some people were bound to disagree with you. I think a couple of death traps would bring flavor and more RPing to the mod. It would make people REALLY appriciate that cleric that they picked up in the tavern.

Thanks

Somehow I got the idea that the Undermountain would be one of those ongoing projects that never ends with the exception of catastrophe or the sequel actually being worth it.

Anyway the Cleric/Mage can get through but not without the aid of MEGA-CHEESE like Wands of Chain Lightning or the Staff of Elminster. Sorry if I sound whiney about it.

Neo, The Mod will be released when I complete a few more levels (maybe 10 or so more). It won't be until next year, so we have lots left to see. When I DO release it, I will already have a sequel for Online play as well. It will be different as in new areas of Toril. (Not in Undermountain) And will much more focused on Quests and such. When NWN 2 comes out, I will then redo EfU with the new toolset, and we'll start all over again! But with all new levels.

Isn't it just as important to debate the ideas?
Otherwise Z might implement something that only very few of us support.

It is import to debate new ideas, however it was starting to take away from the point of the thread. To present new ideas for Undermountain.

If you disagree with an idea, maybe you could present an alterante to the idea. For example instead of full on death traps maybe implement a script to take away gold and XP.

Undermountian is a bit easy if you are immortal (I.E can be raised at will with no penalty)
