I think it'd make plenty of roleplaying sense to drop Jaheira, since Druids are lousy in BG1, and no self-respecting PC would drag around a party member who can't pull her own weight and is liable to get everyone killed. Seriously, her only good stat is her 17 CON, and what a fat lot of good it does her.
But, if you're married to the idea of keeping Jaheira (and therefore Minsc for the same reason), I would swap out Kivan, and let either Coran or Minsc fill Kivan's slot. My setup for this party would be... Ajantis: Tank and party leader Coran and Kivan: Archers and backup Tanks (and Lockpicking, Backstabby types) Branwen: Priest (to be replaced with Good-aligned Priest later) Imoen: Backup Wizard and Trapmistress You: Duh But you say that "Coran is already gone," so that seems out.
