How do you kill the demonknight before the final battle? He doesn't show up for long when he makes his first appearance...

I think this

http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...=001783#000000

is the one you're talking about. Yep, it was funny how hard Six worked to finally beat the thing. You have to love how the game designers put in little challenges to push players to the extreme. Why else would they have given the demonknight different loot to drop whether you killed him on the ground level or in the basement?

Thanks for the link. It is exactly what I was looking for (might try it one time just to see if I can pull it off).

As for casting 5 Cloudkills on Shandalar, there's no need to exceed the EXP cap by any insane amount, in fact you don't even need to exceed it at all. At 161,000, standard Mages will have 1 Level 5 spellslot. Illusionists will have 2, and Edwin will have 3. So, a party that includes Edwin and Xzar, both at the EXP cap for ToSC, could legally cast 5 Cloudkills per day, and happily there are just enough CK scrolls in the game to allow 2 Wizards casting it. (Has to be Edwin & Xzar because Xan can't cast Evocation, Dynaheir won't work with Edwin, Quayle is Multiclassed, and I doubt anyone would Dual Imoen early enough to let her reach Level 9 as a Mage.)

You a WRONG! I played with Minsc, rescued Dynaheir and then went to the bridge where Edwin is, and he said: I would reccomend you to cast out Dynaheir from your party, if not, then atleast let me join. And i said yes, and Dynaheir promised to keep a close eye on Edwin, and Edwin did the same. And for the record, i had a base Charisma of 18+Charisma tome=19+Algernons cloak=21
And i was Chaotic Neutral. Ah well, it was probably my inner glow which released Edwins goodness So Whaddaya say eh?

True--having a really high CHA can make in-party fights very unlikely to happen....and when they do happen, they'll probably be in a tough fight (when everybody's Morale drops), so the player probably just assumes that the characters just got Morale Failure: Berserk or something.

But, high CHA aside, it's safe to say that Dynaheir and Edwin hate each other's guts, and will jump at the chance to kill one another.

yeh, I have a question six, you know if you accept Edwins quest and you go to kill Dynaheir and if she escapes she says "this isnt the end of this, il make you pay" or something along those lines. Well does she actually do anything/turn up anywhere? Because all the times Ive done that I've never seen her again!

I've never actually done this myself, as I don't use Edwin that much (I prefer Xzar) and I haven't played BG1 in years anyway, but it's always been my experience that when a recruitable NPC in BG1 leaves the map, they are gone forever. Maybe by "I'll make you pay," Dynaheir actually meant that she was going to disguise herself, travel to Thayamount, and spread rumors that Edwin is really, really bad in the sack.
