SOU was by far the best OC. Concise, well-done and action packed. Like Vesselle said, it was that floodgate feel.
HotU is the best expansion in terms of epic levels and the sheer volume that it adds to your game but the HotU OC wasn't (IMHO) as amazing as many claim it is. It was very dragged out and I got the impression they were trying to re-create something akin to BG2 what with talking swords and the ability to RP evil alignments which is okay but really has been done before.
