I was just wondering... should I make a secret 'warp' area in the tavern for those that have been before, and wish to skip the same levels? Or like, Talk to a Wizard sitting in the Tavern, and for a price, he will teleport you to a choice of different levels (The script might check the players level, and only allow higher level players go to levels 7-50 or something... balance it out a bit.

What do you think? And what would the cost be?

Also, do you think it would be a good idea to have a recall 'to the tavern' item like in the Official NWN Mod? Since in Undermountain, teleporting OUT cannot happen, I don't know.... Ideas?

I didn't find it necessary to go to level 7 or 8 for tough fights. I bumped into 8 Bodaks on level three.

As for the teleporting, I think it's a great idea to have it both ways, don't know what the cost should be though, maybe 100 for each level you've gone down.

For those just reading--The server will be up 24/7 for the next few days! And I'll be continuing to add new areas and new treasures and rare and unigue items (and sets) through out levels 1-7 to make fighting the monsters worth it more... a better treasure! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Me and another player found an area transition bug on level 8, on a large tree stub, you can get in, but you can't leave again.

I could really have used something similar to the stone of recall.
Or maybe we could use something similar to the ward stones in the wizards tower in luskan, have some magical thingy dispense them on the start of each level.

On a side note, how many levels of undermountain are there?
In the mods current state, I think it stops at level 8, is that right?
And if so, how long utill there's more levels?

Ziroc,

You might want to check the "unbashable" chests/crates in the first four levels of Khelben's tower. They definitely ARE bashable and they do NOT respawn when you re-enter. Found that out first hand just yesterday.

Also, unless there is a "secret way" up to level 5 of the same tower, the doorway at the end of level 4 is a dead end and the trap door on the same level is unusable.

Yeah, I fixed that level 8 bug. And working on finishing up the other areas on that level as well. (Adding more stuff to that Tree stump as well!) [img]smile.gif[/img]

I have levels 9-15 in the works now! One level is 100% water, and is weird. like a maze... with a boat. [img]smile.gif[/img] I'll open new levels probably this coming Wed!

Brilliant idea. I've played through once now, to lvl 8, and I didn't get stuck in the tree, I didn't get stuck in the tree, sorry, just had to do that
I couldn't get in the small tower, or the boarding house either. Maybe next time. Any way, I don't always have 5 hours to get to where I was, and a lvl warper would be great, as well as a recall to lvl 3 maybe, for shopping! I'm still impressed, you've done an outstanding job, and I have enjoyed it immensely. Also, you could warn us when you are going to reset, so that we could save our characters. I don't mind starting over, but I hated losing my cool stuff. ( don't know how to make a frowning smiley ) isn't that an oxymoron, how can a smiley be frowning. Great job, and it's a lot of fun. Will do! Sometimes, the server hard locks though , but when I reset, I'll warn ya all [img]smile.gif[/img] .

Yeah, the Tree is fixed, and NOW, the Stone tower is finished and open!!! (a VERY tough Dragon resided in there. Take a party...


The Boarding house will be open Tues, or maybe Wed along with levels 9 - 12. I'm also tweaking ALL of the encounters on Undermountain Level 1, so they don't spawn right in front of ya. [img]smile.gif[/img]
