Give the Windows button on your keyboard a shot, that should (normally) do the trick.

2. NPCs. Wondering if you are able to equip them with weapons, armor etc.? I know you can give them potions, but not sure if the buck stops there.
I'm the same way! Here is how you can Alt-tab:

Make sure you have some program (I keep file Explorer open) then run NWN, then you can alt-tab to IT, and have the Desktop. Some programs require another program open to alt-tab (Dunno why).

About NPC's--I forget if you can or not--I remember trying very many different options just to see my NPC's stats, but I think they are like the Hirelings in Diablo II (Non Expansion version).

Personally, I don't mind, but I would have liked the option of having my own party--that is why I loved Icewind Dale so much, It was like the old Goldbox days! I'd yet to the screen at my Dwarf *Nail'em Bruenor!* and yell to Wulfgar *Tank 'em*!

Well, Icewind Dale 2 will allow this again, so that is cool..

Oops!!! I'm new here and just biffed on my reply........Sorry.

To answer your question on how to minimize the game I believe
'CTRL-ESC' will do the trick.
LOL

Well that one Windows button worked for me, so I'll use that, is the easiest with just one button to hit!

I agree, would have been nice to have an actual group party, but as you said, IWD2 will give us all that, so no biggie really. Haven't decided which tactic is the best now with the one-hireling only option. Pick one and keep him/her so they can level up along with you throughout the game, or switch around and use different ones according to your quest needs. Hmmm.

I'm wondering how you give npcs equipment also! I currently have Linu (cleric) and cant give her anything.
I was just getting ready to ask the same question!
So much time did I waste, trying to figure out how to get into Linu's inventory list! Yeah, I chose Linu as well. I wanted the Bard-lady...but chose Linu instead. I wanted somebody that at least acted good, and the rest seemed too mean or wierd. LadyZ...Linu is described in the instruction manual, along with all other henchmen that can be employed, and most of them are found under the same roof, looking for employment. But alas! I can only have one? NO!!!! I wanted at least three in my party! Dang, drat, pout, kick, spit.

Well, what about Multi-gaming?
How many people can Multi?

You do not need to stick with one you can mix and match for the situation. each time you pick one up after he/she joins go into talk mode with them. IF they are a lower level than you a choice of " I think you should train more aso you would be more help" or somethign liek that comes up select it and they will sit and level themselves up. You only need to do this if they are not in your group when you last leveled up.

I have Linu also, shes been my only npc so far. I think I'm going to try a different one pretty soon though. By the way they level up one level below you so you could pick one up when your 10th level and they would be 9th
