Elminster (or Terminsel, whatever he wants to call himself) better have some spells I haven't heard about. My Staff of the Magi (which I always keep on 3 charges) will absorb anything he wants to throw at me. And then, being a multiclassed F/Mu/C 9/11/9 and wielding a Longsword +5 in the other hand, he had better pray...I know he doesn't have more than 100 hp. Wearing a Girdle of Frost Giant Strength, and having 2/1 attacks, he'll be dead really, really fast.
