ermmmmm how will problems crop up in bg2 it wont remember you killed drizzt as it will only remember YOUR character information surely? so drizzt will just resurrect which might cause morality problems for you but shouldnt have any effect in game?

Here's how I did it.
I surrounded him with four of my weakest NPCs. (of course at level 1 and 2, they were all pretty pansy). Then I moved to each of them in turn and dismissed them from my party. Since I was standing next to them when I temporarily gave them the boot, they stayed put, blocking Drizzt in.
Then I had my mage fire away with his sling and as many bullets I could carry. And myy tank hacked at him for a looooong time with a halbred +1. The beauty of this trick is threefold...
--Drizzt can't chase my mage or tank and destroy them...he's boxed in.
--His scimtars can't hit my tank, but my tanks' halbred can just hit him...
--Since there are only technically 2 party members at the time, the 12000 XP are split up just between them two, 6000 apiece.

andrewas , you got it exactly!!

UBT

I believe that if you strip all of Drizzts equipment off your character before you export the character, you wont have any problems with him in BGII.

If not, I also believe you can go "I'm sorry for killing you" or something like that.

Tricky, very Tricky, and to think I once wasted an entire wand of summons just to get him.

Somewhere in the middle of one of the sectors south and maybe west of High Hedge. Youll know him when you see him.

Must take my evil party to visit him.

By his whole party do you mean wulfgar, bruenor, cattie brie, and regis?

I only wish they'd made it a FAIR fight; They don't have the caliber of equipment that you could have at that point, so BioWare "compensated" by cheating Drizzt (and possibly the rest of the party as well) up the wazoo. Build the best legal Ranger, with the best legit gear, that you can, take him up to Level 16, and Drizzt will still plow his field with your face.

[/QUOTE]Hmm - do you think there should be an Improved Drizzt mod? I mean, we have improved everybody else, dont we. Anyway, its a fact that Bioware never had the time to fully exploit IE scripting the way the mod artists are doing it, hence the somewhat frequent reliance on cheats.
