Helm of Balduran

If you gife your npc shields and chance the collors
again the shield takes the right color

The helm is in the central map of BG, in a house near the tents of this 'carnival'. You must pick or force the locks (there are 2 doors) and you will find 5 petrified adventurers. If you cast stone to flesh on them, you will get the item. But the best way to do this is t break into a big house in the north-western part of BG, kill some battle horrors and invisible stalkers and talk with the guy in there. He´ll start a quest.

The helm of balduran can be found behind a painting in the inn south east of the house where you get given the quest by the mage. Head past the inn keeper and up the stairs to the left in the back room, and you'll need to use find traps skill (I think) to find the painting behind which lies the helm. Enjoy!

Oh sorry Deagol, DaPoo is right. The stoned heroes give you another thing, a clue to find another Balduran item... but I don´t want to spoil the game !!
