Actually, he's not in the map where you leave the mines, he's in the map where you enter the mines, about halfway down the map.

Isn't the map where you enter and leave the mines the same map?[/QUOTE]There is in fact a little "back door" from which you can exit the 4th level of the Mines (it's a one-way passageway, so you can't enter via that path) that takes you out to a wilderness area far east of the Mines themselves. I wish BioWare hadn't added that back door, as the area it leads to is full of enemies that, if you're a low-level party who just got done clearing the Mines, are going to pick their teeth with shreds of your armor.
