That would be really cool thou. In ice wind, carisma is far more important then in bg, and intelligens is important to all char, not just for the mage. Example: You're looking for that snake. You ask a specific commoner, if you got 3 in int you'll be talnking like this: "Snake... Where. I find. Tell." If you got 18 in int you'll be able to get almoust any information out of him...

remember charisma is important to getting some npcs to join your party as well i think, and i also believe it opens up some extra dialogue options with certain people you talk to, would be interesting to create a leader char with the minimum charisma possible and see how socially inept he was

Me: "id like to buy your finest armour shopkeeper"

Shopkeeper: "you want to do what with my daughter? you lout! GUARDS GUARDS!!!"

Guard: "stop there you fiend"

Me: "erm sorry i was misunderstood due to my hideous visage and stinking breath, it happens alot"

Guard: "you insult me with your tone and behaviour"
*swipe with sword*
Me: "erk"

Dead

*grin*

wow maybe not, charisma is too useful!

Hrm is there a website with the charisma/reputation pts needed to get certain party members to join you? Like i'm trying to get Kivan to join my party, but I guess 14 Reputation and like *4* charisma aren't doing it heh

Charisma is important for one and only one party member. With imoen in the game, you should have no need to have a high score yourself, and if you do for some reason theres always the freidns spell.

So let me see if I understand this correctly...The only charisma score that counts is the highest one in the party? That doesn't seem right to me.

It makes lots of sense to me for example you never have engineers, or computer programmers talk to customers because they have a charisma of like 3 that is why you have at least one sales guy with a charisma of 18, but without the engineers, or programmers nothing would get done and the sales guy would end up blowing alot of hot air reducing his reputation.

Actually Andrewas meant the leader of the party which you choose. Not the one with the highest charisma. Or that is how I think it was.

Charisma of 3?

Anyway, only one charisma value is used. The value of the person involved in the conversation. Thats why you should send Imoen out shopping rather than kagain or the like. Sometimes a conversation will be started by an NPC rather than one of your characters. In that case the NPC will talk to your party leader.

oh and give the tome of charisma from the gnoll place to imoen to boost her still further, charisma is always good unlike reputation which can get you hated by evil chars if your a goody goody
