The Gauntlets of fumbling is the most useless and you can only get 1 gold for it. Oh! and the pair of dirty Golden Trousers that some noble man ask you to wash. I think the Trousers actually have some purpose if they are imported to BG2.

I guess you could put it on an NPC you really don't like and send them off to battle some Gibberings to see who wins.

I guess alot of these useless or not so useless cursed items though are to add atmosphere to the game.

My favorite is the ring that makes one of your guys completely immune to missle attacks. I believe it is only in DSoTC expansion though. I can't remember the name though, it is something like "Ring of missle deflection"
