Right, then it will be a problem. If you haven't got a save to go back to, then you could go here, download Dalekeeper and edit them back in.

This is a useful tool if you forget to do things like pick stuff up. Mapareas have all sorts of "conditionals" on them, and forgetting to retrieve items is a common mistake. So don't worry.

Sorry that you lost some of your fellow players. However, I do believe that items that are essential, like keys, don't disappear like weapons do. I know that when I was playing around soloing w/ a fighter during the orc cave in the prologue that I killed the orc w/ the scroll for the fishmonger (Jed, i think) and had to leave the cave & rest before finishing off the other badies. After killing the rest of them, when I went to where the first orc (one w/ the scroll) died, there was still a scroll there, but no weapons or treasure. Soloing w/ a single fighter, you can wind up resting for 16 days!!

I think you're right Vassago, however it's been my experience that you can never guarantee they'll still be there (though they should be). However, if Lady Blade doesn't remember where she left them then...back to square one. Try to find them first. Go on, have a search.

Vassago is right, most items don't disappear when the player dies, but it seems they have in this case. It was lost in the first attack by the skeletons. I searched and still unable to find them. I don't suppose one of those nasty skeletons ran off with them????

Yeah, these doors i refer to are warded against simple spells and the thief can't get passed them. I don't suppose these keys i refer to have anything to do with these doors are they? Or is there some other way of getting through them.

'Fraid not. Those types of "wards" are triggered only by the prerequisite item: in this case the keys. You're going to need them, unless you CLUA console yourself past them. You could "MoveArea()" to the space after the doors I think, but you'd have to do that each time you wanted to go into or out of the crypt.

(I'm not sure, as MoveArea() may just take you to that Map in general rather then specific x/y coordinates.)

On a narrow path down from the large Statue on the centre "platform" outside of the crypts. He's standing outside a cave, but don't bother to go into it yet, but be aware this is where you'll be asked to go - if you get past those damnable doors!

BTW Lady B, what ETA have you seen for IWD II in merry old Engerlund? 'Electronics Boutique' have it down for 27/09/2002.

Yeah unfortunate in good old engerland, we have to wait till the 27/09/2002! Why do they insist on being so late??? We have an electronics boutique but we have a "Games" shop that sells pc games slightly cheaper, but they bring these out a lot later than 27/09/2002.
We'll both just have to wait, won't we????

Real downer on the ETA.

Anyways, DK the keys back in. If you're not sure which is which, add one in at a time and go back into the game. Some of them are reasonably obvious: Sanctum Key, Mausoleum Key etc. Can't remember how many there are in total. Three or four I think.
