So Sunray automatically kills undead? lol I never knew that I just thought that it did additional damage against undead.

It's not automatic--the 1042 damage is only applied if the Undead beastie fails to Save. In the screenshot, most of the Undead didn't have enough hitpoints to survive the first half of the Sunray (10D6 or something like that, no Save), but one of the Mummies did survive it. Of course, that same Mummy then turned around and failed its Saving Throw, so it got its bony butt whooped anyway.
