To answer some key points.
Yes, I did mean the Spectator Beholder. He's just called "Spectator" in the dialogue box, and the name has stuck in my mind, as he's so different from the games other beholders. Best unvoiced character in the series. No, I didn't use Ascension. I wanted my first ToB runthrough to be relatively mod free. Tacctics, I know, seems a bit too cheesy for my tastes, but maybe Ascension might be worth it... . I DO like Cespenar too! It's just that, when I first visited the pocket plane, I had all the items, scrolls, and gems you needed to make all the items from SoA and Watcher's keep; and had Cespenar make them all in one go. I had to listen to him say "OOO!" dozens of times, and by the end it rankled a bit. ![]() As for chasing things accross the screen; I thought it was really funny. Even in big fights (I toasted a couple of Sendais and Draconis's human form with it) the entertainmentn value was worth it. And as to Abazigal, well it's a minor nit. He might have been "grown" magically, or simply be a special case from centuries past. The game doesn't give any hints, and it is something that deserves a bit of explanation, I thought. For my next playthrough, I might challange myself with a more mage - heavy party. I was interested in how everything turned out, so I kind of meleed my way through most of ToB, using my spellcasters only when my frontliners got in over their head (which wasn't often; Keldorn dual weilding Foebane +5 and Purifier +5 is quite the force of righteousness; and is Minsc with Axe of the Unyielding and Crom Fayer.) I also kind of liked Aerie's new voice set. I for one never found Aerie that annoying (as I NEVER ROMANCE HER, and I remcommend such an apporach to all and sundry) but some of her new battle cries gave an interesting dimension to her character. |

I wish they could just come out with another game, assuming you chose to be mortal etc.
all thoose people have to still be alive, and it can not be that hard to think of another idea there is so many out there Spectator was great but the best dialogue in any game is IWD 2...some of the things you can say are hillarious, witty, and sarcastic, and even though you know they are TOTALLY the wrong things to say you have to say them anyways
