Have fun getting the roll you need for a Fighter/Druid dual-class: 15 STR, 17 WIS, 17 CHA, and enough leftover for good DEX, CON, and preferably enough INT not to die to a single Mindflayer attack. 92 is what I'd feel comfortable with. Though I suppose starting from BG1 you can start a little lower and count on the tomes to reach the dual-class requirements.

That being said, my next game (which may take a while to get to) will be a Berserker/Druid starting in SOA and going through TOB, dualing at level 13 to get the maximum number of attacks as a Fighter and still be able to enjoy having both classes functional for a good chunk of the game. I've been planning it for a while and have a couple rolled up.

My first roll got my 15 str, 12 dex, 10 con, 10 int, 17 wis, 17 char..

Must be a sign from on high.. I'm not worried about mind flayers, I'll have a mage and cleric backing me up so lot's of skellys to pound on them..

How about starting out as a multi-class Kensai\Mage to begin with?

You can't (legally) multiclass a kit.

Also, re-roll until you get 18/18/18/18/18/3 in BG 1 then import the character after a run through to grab the tomes.

lol
If you're going to do that just do it in five minutes in shadowkeeper - and give him all items while you're at it

Being an Illusionist isn't a kit, it's a specialist mage.
