Improved Illych is definitly the tuffest if you think about it because you are only at level 7 and you have only three characters if you even pick them all or if they havent died yet from those darn shadow theifs.

Does anbody else think the Improved Mae'Var isnt so "improved"?? I bet him easily with simply tactics and only my generic archerer and Edwin.

Ilyich himself, and his gang, are actually a cinch as soon as you recognize the crucial factor--you control them. It's those expletive cheated Shadow Thieves that make the MOD such an anus-blisterer.

Improved Mae'Var is actually an excellent improvement on his original tactics--the only fault I can find with it is that his Thieves all seem to have a better THAC0 than Korgan.

I totally agree with six, charm on of the Illyich's and the battle is yours. And about Maevar as well, I never died to him, but I did to his assassins, who seem to know where you are at all times. They kicked my tank's ass. I managed to beat Imp. Maevar with some summoned greater bearweres... They still died quite quickly.

Believe it or not, I've never even bothered to Charm any of them--I was referring to the predictability of their actions. Lock them out of their accustomed "Starting Room to Library and back" loop, and they'll head for the Portal. If they can't get there, they'll go to the Otyugh Room, and if they can't get there, they'll head for Rielev's room. It's gotten to the point where I can just stand at the library door and give them my instructions.

I dunno. Improved Mencar with an out-of-the-dungeon party gets my vote. (Battles mod)

Battels on the other hand does. Install Battels and I think your will change your opinion.

Also:Cyric`s Follower(or was it Beliver?) -originally Mad Cleric in the Docks- from Battels Mod is also huge pain in the rear.(He casts spells like Time Stop and ADHW...)

Now can someone tell me why someone like that walks around there, and *what* the reason is for his spell usage? Sometimes creators of mods tend to overuse their powers and just create random monsters/enemies in area's where there's absolutely no reason for them to be...
