The armour changes the character wearing it into a very powerful golem, and comes equipped with a nifty crossbow which fires unique bolts. You won't be able to go through doors with the armour on, though.

I believe I remember getting a golden pair of pantalettes in Abazigal's lair where you first find a mad mage that you are supposed to get the reversal geas from. If you free the young adventures from the flesh to stone spell and get them to do the task that the mage asks for you the come back with a beholder eyestalk and a pair of golden pantalettes.

Thanks Andrewas for telling me I'm pitiful
I have completed both BG and BG II (with expansions) several times and now I'm just killing time untill NWN arrives. Time killing is accomplished by my party of 25/25/25/25/25/25 characters to do everything I haven't done in the previous runs. Just want to see what else is in the game, okay?

Okay well maybe I was wrong but how is it that you get the gold from BG into BG 2 because everytime I import into BG 2 I lose all of my items. Are those Bronze pantaloons worth anything?

The Gold Pantaloons will appear in the container behind the painting in the equipment room, along with 3 healing potions and a +1 enchanted dagger.

You all three pantaloons to make the bonus armour in ToB. Gold, Silver and Bronze.

I cheated them into a saved game just to see what they created. They make an armor that turns you into an iron golem with some very impressive stats. I also found out you can make some very strong weapons to go with the armor. There is a problem with the suit, its big! There are a lot of places you can't go wearing it. I think it was put in to get people to replay BG.

May be a spoiler ... I'm not sure

To get things from BG to BG2: at the start of BG2 listen to the first few seconds while the screen is dark and you will eventually hear the main character moan, and the game starts. Hit the pause before the moan (all your BG equipment will be there until the moan). While paused open your inventory and drop everything you want to keep on the ground. Unpause and when you regain control of your character pick up your stuff.

Note: Some of your stuff will be mutated to BG2 stuff.

I always wondered: does that work when you're playing the tutorial, too?
