Hey, I like the one for Alasdair! Strange to see how much difference removing a simple headband can make. I recognize Yoshimo's katana, but whose torso is that?

If you got the text for the new Minsc but not the picture, you should probably just hit Refresh--bitmaps take a while to load, so your browser thinks "Gee, these pictures aren't here yet. The link must be broken." But if you Refresh, it gives them another chance, and the rest of the page has already loaded, so the pictures will come in. Then just right-click and it's yours.

I prefer bitmaps to Jpegs, just because I like picture quality. Converting a high-resolution BMP to a low-res JPG and back just doesn't make sense to me--I'd rather download the bitmap.

The torso is actually Yoshimo's. The picture was the beta (or first version) of Yoshimo's portrait. The bioware people decided to change his picture to the one now in BGII.

There are two new portraits, one for a cleric, or fighter/mage. The other is a female fighter, ranger, or possible cleric. Hope you like them

Does anyone know where I can get the original Yoshimo protrait?, I found it a while ago on www.Fileplanet.com but it is the only file there that I cannot download, after being unable to find it on any site I decided to my self that It must have been a fake but now my hopes have been renewed so if anyone knows where I can get it then please tell me.

P.S how do you make your portraits? do you use a certain program or do you just cut and paste parts of the faces to make new ones (either way I am impressed)

Here's the direct link to the zip file Daniel. The portraits are already in the format for playing in the game. The old Yoshimo doesn't look anything like the newer version. Personally I think they were both good versions of him.

P.S. I use Adobe 6.0 when doing my portraits. I do a lot of shading and lighting effects to get a better look. Mostly correcting the color shades is the tough bit. (Making certain the faces aren't darker or brighter than the fore and background.)

I have no idea how long those took you but you should show them to Black Isle. They might hire you on the spot!

thanks for the information, I was lucky I had totally forgotton about this thread I would never have known where to get the portrait if I hadn't stumbled back here.

P.S keep up the good work, there are better than some of the professional jobs I have seen.
