? Wizard Slayers have always been able to use magical weapons and armours. It is listed in their kit desciption. Wizard Slayers gain 2% Magic Resistance per level until level 20 because...

... Wizard Slayers get a kickass boost in ToB, after level 20, they gain 6% Magic Resistance for every two levels. So they end up with 100% base Magic Resistance. Add 10% from Tear of Bhaal and 5% from Machine of Lum, and you have 115%

question for you guys. When you solo do you literally start from scrach or do you deck out your characters from the start? I have been thinking of doing a solo, but I have been thinking of how hard it would be to do it.

I have heard of solo dualclassed Swashbuckler/Mages but I have not heard of pure solo Swashbucklers.

Hmm...Well, I've just begun a game with a swashbuckler:

ST 17
DX 18
CN 16
IN 17
WS 6
CH 13

I could dual him out as either a fighter or a mage, but either way I'd like to wait until he gets the 'use any weapon' ability beforehand.

Urm... 6 WIS?

*refers to manual*

That is a -1 penalty to saving throws against Mental Spells and a -20 penalty to your lore. Why such low WIS? Should have aimed for 10 WIS at least.

Also, you need to be level 24 to get the Use Any Item ability, you cannot dual-class to a Mage because you will only be able to attain level 23 as a Mage maximum, meaning that you lose all your Thief skills and will be stuck as a mid-level Mage.

You can dual to a Fighter though, but have fun waiting. You will attain level 27 maximum in your Fighter class by the way.

People dual their Swashbucklers to a Mage at level 15.
