apr can be set to zero if you spend negative proficiency points on a weapon. Also fighters lose 0.5 apr at level -7 and another 0.5 at level -13, but that doesn't apply since you're a mage.

Random idea: Since you're a Wild Mage, when you cast MMM, your Casting Level rolled low, causing you to have 1 Meteor fewer than you should. So, when you ran out of meteors, the game kept waiting for you to throw that last meteor, and until you do (even though you can't), the game doesn't know what to do. Of course, this is just a guess that I extracted from my posterior orifice, but at least it sounds somewhat plausible.

How long have you been unable to attack? Is it less than the duration of MMM? Try Resting.

If it is really the MMMs that's causing the problems, Dispel Magic would solve the problem.

I've tried resting (three days or so), dispelling magic, switching weapons, conjuring more MMMs, nothing works.

Try one more thing.
Boot everyone out of your party and press CTRL-R on your PC (you must have the console activated).Probably it won't resolve the problem but you can try.

Ctrl-R is pretty much a "heal-all, dispel-everything." I don't know precisely what enchantments it can remove that Dispel Magic can't, but who cares, it worked.

I am glad it worked,but did you boot out your party members first ? It has nothing to do with the CTRL-R, but I mentioned it as well because I remember of bugs similar to yours, related to some of the NPCs (especially Jaheira).

CTRL-R does what SixOfSpades said.In my experience, the only thing it can't "cure" is the permanent THACO penalty from Nature's Beauty (Improved Faldorn
