Hm,good point. She sure acts like a fighter in the three encounters that you have with her, but that would be true of a ranger, as well.

I don't think a ranger would become a vampire... it just seems odd sorta.

What is this about fighter archer class I keep hearing about? Is it an additional class from some extra mod?

Archer is a ranger kit, and since she doesn't use ranged weapons, I would say she's most definitely not one.

Yep. I forget which mod it's from (just looked in the Pocketplane site but I can't find it), if I find it, I'll post it or edit this post in here. I think it's the same as the Ranger Archer kit, just moved to the Fighter class so you can dual/multiclass more.

There's nothing that says a ranger wouldn't become a vampire, and in fact a ranger that was turned would be dangerous in different ways, sending wave after wave of trained animals and dominated wolves, tracking heroes down through the wilderness (between vamp abilities and ranger tracking they could easily keep pace with adventuring heroes).

The ranger class abilities mesh nicely with a wilderness vampire, but for a city based vampire, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If you've played Vampire the Masquerade, Gangrel would be a perfect example of a vampiric ranger.

Van Richton's Guide to Vampires discusses how various classes react to becoming vampires, Paladins of course are the most royally screwed, and gain the least from it, then fighters, then rogues. Whether it is good for clerics or not depends entirely on whether or not they worship an evil diety or a good one, and what the diety thinks of undead. Mages gain quite a bit as they no longer need to worry about reaching an end of their lifespan (and possible lichdom to avoid death) and can spend their time in research. Rangers lose alignment based bonuses, like spellcasting and animal companions but keep skill based abilities like hiding, tracking, and training animals.

I think the fallen ranger idea is pretty cool, but was Bodhi ever considered "good" (as all rangers must be)?

She's probably a fighter.

Good point. Ellesime speaks highly of Jon before the fall, but not of Bodhi. And she's the one who corrupted Jon, no? I doubt she was ever good-aligned.

That was my reasoning. That she was once a true warden of the tree and the forest and fell from grace. That was why I suggested Fallen Ranger.
However I must admit that evidence does not support this very strongly. I don't think it can be completely refuted as her corruption could have happened earlier. Still I think you must be right - she was probably never able to fullfill the requirements for rangerhood and was most likely a fighter.
