Dundee - LOL. I did take it the other way.

I'm proceeding with my plan. I've rolled my assassin and have started in on the memphits. I'm keeping Imoen for now and will obviously trade her for Aerie in Ch. 2 (I've missed the whining).

I like Duos and Trios mostly because i HATE parties and love to solo. you only need one boots of speed, dont have to get caught up with other people or share exp. But I think the best duo would be with jaheira for her enormous amounts of quests dealing with the harpers and that nifty pin.

I don't think I'll ever solo; I enjoy the banters/romances too much. Besides, a full party can easily hit the xp cap, it's going to be more powerful in the end.

Edit: Hey, don't mess with Aerie. Anomen's way worse. ('Sides, if you keep messin' with her, my elven fighter just might come over and tear you a few new vents.

I really like the idea of duo's and trio's too. I am currently playing a solo Bard (Skald kit). But after finishing the Astral Prison, I gave a LOT of thought to accepting Haer'Dalis into my group and having a duo of bards running around Athkatla.

The Bladesinger and Skald combo definitely looks interesting to me - so much so that I actually Saved TWO versions of the game at that point.

Version 1 - Skald continues solo.
Version 2 - Skald and Bladesinger duo.

My bard does fair enough in melee, but the bladesinger's offensive spin would be a great addition - and a second group of spells would help out too.

I once played an excellent trio:

PC - Fighter/Thief
Aerie - Cleric/Mage
Kivan - Archer (got him from TDD add-on)

They actually beat Acension on Core (I think). Kivan with Teleomortis was incredible.

Heh. Too bad BG2 doesn't have bladesingers - or NWN, for that matter. I'd love them so much more.... Ignore me. I like to nitpick.

A trio might work well, too. Maybe I'll have Keldorn join Aerie and my assassin. Especially if I remain stalled by Improved Bodhi (redux) and abandon my current party.
