OH YES, the Spectator Beholder had many hilarious lines!

Edwin is a really cool character, yes. His work acting and dialogue were very fitting for an 18 Int Evil Mage(Though just barely).

While I didn't like Irenicus character as much, though I would've liked it would he have a cool elven physical appearance , his sound acting was great. I also found Havarian's voice acting to be very fitting for the character.

Ah, that's the case on quite a few characters. I also always try to kill him - I love and hate his character at the same. But I didn't really mean that. I meant that you'd have to be damn smart to survive :TOB SPOILER: til' the Throne of Bhaal. The length between those appearences was 10-40 days, I believe, and as was seen, he was once again pulling someone's leg.

This might be rendered moot if u wer being sarcastic, which is somehow difficult to detect on type.
It is, especially with me, when more often than not it's safe to assume that I type with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek.
But in this case it isn't. You *do* remember the Spectator, yes?

Saemon is great, but I really like Cespenar - and, of course, the spectator beholder (especially his lines in (SPOILER) ToB)

Yeah, the protagonist can say funny things, but not as funny as in Planescape: Torment.

Centaur creature:"Why are you attacking me?"

Nameless One(protagonist):"Cause I *feel* like it."

;

Morte:"You've got some notes on your back, Chief"

Nameless One:"What does it say?"

Morte:"Well, it says:"[about 10 lines of words]"

The Nameless One:"No wonder my back hurts. There's a damn novel written there!"

I like Cespenar. He has a funny voice and all. It's just that due to so many different components, I keep hearing the same sounds too much.

I hate Jan. He is introduced to you by trying to sell you his cheap illegal merchandise, he looks ugly, and on top of that, he tells LONG and meaningless stories about Uncle Scratchy and other stupidly named family members.

I *LOVE* Jan's stories. If I was the PC, I'd end up staying up late at night talking to him.

Look at the way Imoen banters with him. That would be more or less the way I'd talk with him.

Definitely agree with you there. Both you and the other NPCs are rock solid. Morte is just a riot!

You have to understand something about Jan's stories, and gnomes in general; they are pranksters, and the people they go after the most are those that take themselves too seriously. Jan's version of a prank is the long winded stories you are talking about. Pay attention to who he tells these stories to, and what he is implying about them. I personally don't like the stories, either, but having played the game enough I understand why he does them (and some are funny, like the one he tells Nalia).

Hmm, so you're saying that Jan's stories have a deeper meaning that it first seems? I hadn't thought of that, really.

Still, I don't like neither his class nor his butt-ugly face, so I doubt I'd ever take him into my party. His coolness factor is quite low, in my opinion.
