web and cloudkill works every single time...this i think is due to a bug in the troll script...they're suppose to drop their minhp item, from inventory when killed the first time, an item which is undroppable, so its suppose to disappear...then they can be killed for the final time...weimer explained it to me once, but i forget...
simply use wands of cloudkill with web, and you won't have any problems..
