Xen the Protection from magic kept his general offense spells from killing you. The enrage kept you from the imprisonment.

Prot from magic also protects from imprisonment. Why you ask? Cause prot from amgic protects not in a percentual way, but in a protection from spell level way. This makes you REALLY immune to all spells, even when they cast lower resistance on you. And you can say it's an ability, sure, but it surely is a magical ability, and the sphere protects from everything magical, except weapons.

Try doing PI and then summon 10 mordenkenian's sword and attack the demi-lich. The sword's a +4.

heh kanga...

i remembered the countless reloads when doing his quest. Good luck surviving his 2 forms LOL!

i remember each time he was 'near death' in lich form he always takes 2 party members down with him, then he turns into demi-lich.

but his loot is pretty uber and if im not wrong...u can exploit the fact that u can PP him one point in time too *wink*

You can also use a protection from undead scroll I believe, he just stands there like a dummy while you pummel him with the mace of disruption

This is definitely one of those fights where having less members (2 max.) also means having a less intensive workout

I thought that Minsc's Beserk doesn't protect him from Imprisonment, only Korgan's... Ah well. Anyways, the two keys to killing Kangaxx the Demi-Lich are both within the confines of the Adventurers Mart, if you're willing to eat a bit of cheese with it...

It's Vhalior's Helm and a scroll of Protection from Magic. Cast Simulacrum, use the Simulacrum to cast the scroll on someone with the Mace of Disruption +2, and good-bye Kangaxx.
