What to do to the drow you first meet?
Hmm...
There are three possibilities...

1: FIREBALL EM ALL!!! THIS ROX!!!

2: backstab some their casters dead and your spared a lot of trouble.

3: Walk up to their ambush, notice that you are ambushed, spend half an hour shouting an formal challenge towards the evil creatures and do your best to fight fair...

Drow have very high MR so Fireball is out of the question. Maybe you meant Sunfire.-Ignores MR

They have Stoneskins and Fireshields on.(Tactics Mod)...try to backstabb them...

i have successfully defeated every frigging drow in the first map. where to now? East, west, or south?

Erm...North

(northnorthwest actually) for plot purposes or anywhere you want as you will stumble upon the plot in the course of action anyway.

well, yes, but the city is closed and there is just that crack... i want to explore the whole place before i get to a point where i cant come back. therefore, north would be the last way i should go?

Don't go due north from the start though...unless you think you're prepared to get a real tast of the Underdark...Okay, just saying that because i died the first two times i did it...

see if you can free the lich! (there's a lich in the underdark, its a quest from ME to find, release, and kill it!)

oh, insect plague works wonders if it sticks on the casters. 100% spell failure rate.
