I recently checked and realized that I had saved nearly 100 different BG2 characters saved! That doesn't correlate to # of games started, though, since some games were started with multiple characters. I think my percentages are about:

50% Don't even get into a game; just get rolled and saved
30% Left off somewhere in Irenicus's dungeon
15% Leave Irenicus's dungeon
5% Finish SOA

The two most likely to get played more are my Berserker/Druid rolls and my first-roll 4-player party. I'm saving the Berserker/Druid till I get TOB. For the first-roll party I kept the first roll for each character with no point readjustments: Undead Hunter, Ranger/Cleric, Thief/Mage, Cleric/Illusionist. The funniest part of the party, other than the fact that the Cleric/Illusionist is both the strongest and toughest with 17 str and 16 con, is that I had the Undead Hunter specialize in two-handed swords before realizing that his strength (12) was too low to equip them! But the sheer comic aspect of a Paladin who, literally, needs the help of his deity to equip his favored sword type (Draw upon Holy Might, at least until I get a +STR item) just may win out. The other funny part about a party like that is that it is actually imbalancing to let NPC's in... they're too powerful!

Most of my games usually make it out of Chateau Irenicus and end up somewhere in Athkatla or Trademeet or Umar hills, very rarely do I finish a game however. There's just so many different things to do, it's amazing how long-lasting the game is .

God knows how many.

Around a hundred or two?
Okay, I admit that I AM rather impatient....just the sort of a guy who likes instant results...
