Xen: I also use tactics and if I was a little better, I could probably play it on insane just as well!

Insane isn't that much more different than Core. I just use Anomen using the Defender of Easthaven with the Armor of Faith on at the same time as my tank. The damage reduction makes so that he can, with a good AC, only really need to stand there, drinking potions while the rest of my party bashes them into a pulp. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Ranger/Cleric
Kensai/Mage
Kensai (or Wizard Slayer)/Thief
Sorcerer
Sorcerer
Fighter/Druid

The two Sorcerers stay in the back, using Cast and Attack with MMM, the Ranger/Cleric tanks with the Defender and AoF, while Haste'd Kensai's beat up everything in sight. The Fighter/Druid provides summons to distract the backliners, with occasional Sling support.

Yes, I know that I have 5 casters. And three Mages. Oh well. I love magical support. (I once had Aerie, Tashia, Imoen, Kelsey, and Solaufein in the same party- Imoen for the Kelsey romance with her, and Aerie and Tashia along for their romances. Solaufein was there for the fights) While it makes for intense micromanagement in fights, I've never really had any problem with it.

Using the existing NPC's race and stats, this is my perfect NRP party:

Jaheira - Ranger/Cleric (FOA + MOD+2, Fulcrum)
Nalia - Fighter/Mage (with her RING (small cousin of Gaxx ), Cfury + CFaeyr, Axes)
Mazzy - Fighter/Thief (Water's Talon +4, Throwing Daggers, Tuigan, Gesen)
PC - Sorcerer (Staff of the Wagi [img]smile.gif[/img] )
Keldorn - Inquisitor (Crossbows (and Kuo-Toa bolts ), Lilarcor, Silver Sword, Carsomyr)
Korgan - Fighter/Cleric (DOE, Dwarwen Thrower +3, Shield of Harmony)

All are multiclasses except PC and Keldorn.

One other option is to drop Keldorn for Haer'dalis who can protect mucho better especially against dispelling !
He can also use Carso a little later. And a nice song too.

I have been pondering on that too. He would be a damage disher. But probably with Throwing Daggers and Halberds. Throwing Impaler is for solo fighters I assume.

Do you know how much damage per hit inflicts a level 40 Kensai with a Fire Tooth dagger on Kai ? Ouch ... (and Improve Hasted )
