the ugliest way for a dragon to die? {spoilers}

Here is a little story:
After extensive preparations and massive pre-buffing my party decided to to take on Big Red. Keldorn challenges him, and the moment he turned hostile, Aerie, Nalia and my wild mage threw 2x Lower Resistance and 1x Greater Malision at him. Mr. F wingbuffeted once - and there were Keldorn and Minsc flying across the hall unconscious. He wingbuffes again - and my mage section ends up unconscious(I was rookie back then -mages shouldn't be so close to him)
The last man standing was Anomen and in sudden rush of minor panic he dropped his hammer and pointed toward Firkraag's fiery maw. With the last shred of sanity he uttered spell Finger of Death in a high pitched voice and mr.F failed his save and fell to the ground, dead as a rock.
When the party regained their consciousness, they saw a dead red dragon and Anomen standing near its corpse, staring at his deadly index finger in complete bafflement.
Imagine the humiliation of dragon kin if they would knew that a single cleric with a single spell brought down a fearsome red dragon in a little more than a minute.

This happend tp me once. I was also newbie and just casted Finger Of Death with my Mage and poor F. failed his save. I was stunned for about 5 minutes. I was watching the screan and had my mouth open...
