I say, take Edwin along, because his party banters are funny as hell. There's one between him and Minsc that you have to read. It involves hamsters.

Don't forget, Imoen is also a mage.

You can also try downloading Tashia or Kelsey from http://www.forgottenwars.net, but I recommend Tashia over Kelsey if your PC is male. Kelsey doesn't have much for the male Bhaalspawn (unless you're reading fan fiction, of course.

second the adding Mazzy thing,

I had fun and great experiences with both Mazzy and Edwin in my party in the past; these two have some conflicts but just verbally, never physically. I mentioned in ToB forum before, Mazzy is one of my favorite fighter NPC in the game (in the end you can have her +++++ in both short bow and short sword, I'd say she's a better pick than Minsc)

side note, the first time I had Edwin through the game, I took him in quite late; he turned into "she" just before we got into Ch. 3, and so actually he stayed as "she" throughout ch. 3-5, only when we returned from underdark was "she" able to turn back to "he"...that was FUN ^_^

Ever entered the Thieves Guild in Docks district?? Ever talked to the leader, Renal Bloodscalp?? Ever done a quest for him??

You should try at least once all the three things in order [img]smile.gif[/img]

He is in the docks district of Athkatla. Talk to everyone you can there, do any quests you can, and you'll find Edwin.

Apollo, Edwin is found in SoA, during the mae'var quests. You wont be able to recruit him straight off, but you will get him eventualy.

you need to take the Renal Bloodscalp, the Shadow Thief quest in the dock district. If you go in the dock district with Yashimo in your party, he'll tell you to speak to Renal Bloodscalp. You don't need Yashimo to take the quest though. As the quest unfold you will meet Edwin and can take him in your party.
