I bought many items from the Bonus Merchants before hand though

I would guess probably 150k was spent on items beforehand =\

My current Kensai->Thief solo has about 150K, and a Bag of Holding FULL of magic items

about 150k. I pick up everything that everyone leaves after a battle, as I realised that fighting twenty people wearing plate mail+1, and then not selling all the armour is pretty stupid.

The most i have had was some where near 600k, was easy to get and yes i spent all of it. Granted I did this the only time I tried out a thief. You see the real trick is not stealing maces its the guildhall itself. You can sleep right next to the guy who you talk to to assign your thieves. I had it set up so Id make 2300 a week without losing people cept on occasion and since the guildhall tribute evens out at about 500 you can make a tidy sum for just sleeping on the floor for weeks. However I did end up spending every last penny. About 150k went down the tube in soa from buying nifty things for sale. Then later in tob (hardly a spoiler) buying level 9 scrolls for 3 mages ends up being pricey 10 each mage at 16k a pop (3*10*16k=480k)Sure I could of found them but I was lazy in my looting. ^_^ no one lived through 3 mages time stopping.

I'm in a nitpicking mood today, therefore I'll have to nitpick a bit on you. A Mace +2 is still a magical item. All enchanted weapons/items are magical, even if they only are enchanted to do more damage and to hit tougher enemies.

Back on topic, I've never been good at remembering numbers, so I have to be so vague to say around 150,000 gold.

My gp high is somewhere around 260,000. I wasted so much time picking up those little 2gp bundles that goblins drop, though.

While we're following logic, let's remember that Gold should weigh something, and its illogical for any shopkeeper to have unlimited gold coins. Well... I got to 300 000 in ToB. That was before Amkethran too. But then, I decided to picking up all of those enchanted Long Swords was too much work, so I didn't pick that much after that. I could've easily gotten 500 000+.

the thing is, you dont ever need that much money in a solo run, especially with a monk.

ive gotten around 300k *legimately*. i consider it legit, even though i stole a few choice items(what i would consider cheating is to steal from the same fence and sell it back x number of times). its quite easy if you make your way to spell hold as fast as possible, stash nearly all the magical items into your BoH and then sell them at the improved adventurer's mart. and that was with a party full of people, to whom i had bought alot of fancy equipment...

How close to a million?

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a mod that has copper, silver, and plantanium pieces? It'd certainly be more realstic. I wish there were plantanium pieces. 10 gold pieces equal one plantanium piece. So 100 plantanium pieces equals 1000 gold.

What is the average amount of gold does a king, and noblemon have?
