I didn't see no Jierdan, but when I went NE the guy that was in the hut and not talking jumped up there and met me. Now the kidnapping has taken place, and he has been to see the paladins and they don;t hate me anymore. It sounds like I have been tasked with their vengence and am off to find his daughter.

Thanks for the tip Andrewas, because without it I would have reloaded and had to repeat all the Umar Hills bits.

OK - this bit certainly seems to be bugged in my play through .

OK - in the posts above, Andrewas solved my first problem - but now I have a new one.

I have freed the child Illtha and "Big Red" and made my escape. the kid saysd meet me at the cabin. Windspear is outside the entrance and is back to saying he will help me any way he can.

When I travel to the cabin I have a Windspear and an Iltha ....... and an Iltha??? I also still have the windspear overbythe cave entrance. the Windspear in the cabin is still saying how he is extremely troubled (see my first post on this thread). The Iltha's both have the same dialogue about how heroic I am for kicking in Big Red's head for him.

The quest is still in my journal as incomplete.

I am open to suggestions [img]smile.gif[/img]

PS - attacking the kid didn't change the dialogue - also the kid is indestructible - I racked up 300 points of damage and gave up on trying to kill either of them.

Well I played about a bit more to see if I could overcome my problem. I reloaded the old game that had me in the Windspear cabin where his responses weren't correct.

I tried the "attack Illtha" option and chased Illtha out of the house. When I went outside I got some dialogue from Illtha aboit Windspears problems. OK - I tried to go back inside to talk to Windspear now.

I find that there is now a little guy in there with him - he has a one line speech and Windspear mutters the same drivel. The kicker was that now I can't leave - the door had disappeared - there was truly no way out of the cabin.

OK - I reloaded back after I had talked to Illtha outside. I attacked her again, and this time chased her inside. Now when I went in the lil new guy had the complete dialogue and I got the cut scene with the kidnapping and I have the correct Windspear giving me the quest.

Damn but I wish that I had managed to fix this earlier. I have completed the Temple Ruins and the Firekragg caverns.

OK - the question I want to pose is - what am I missing out on if I stick with my original game. Presumably I will suffer the following :
1) I have a quest left sitting clogging up my journal and I am missing some XP that presumably I get from Windspear
2) I miss out on doing the paladin stronghold quests.

If there are no other negative consequences, then I will stick with my original game. I don;t have the patience to go thrpugh all that again so soon after just doing it [img]smile.gif[/img]
