i wouldnt bother going through all that, id just clua them in or use shadow keeper(your all ready cheating, why not do it properly?). i dont use the drow armor because its cheating(like Xen said, the game cheats you), but because i want to keep atleast a little bit of "realism" in the game! adamantine made stuff can NOT be used in the surface! they DO crumble in the sunlight in the "real" forgotten realms world, so i dont use them in the game because of that reason. but each has his/her own way of playing...

It actually is possible to keep the armours through ToB as well, but it becomes too much of a hassle.

It is possible to wear adamantine armor on the surface in the real Forgotten Realms world. But it is even more hassle: you would have to return the item to the Underdark every few days, and leave it there for twice the period it sprent on the surface.
