The Powergamer in Me says-Don't you think that because your char is the son of a god that he should have very high stats
The Role-Player in Me says- the exact same thing!!

In conclusion Your Char is the son of a god and should have very high stats

(oooh... I like the M in me, makes me sound/look powerful)

Clerics don't get as many hitpoints as fighters/paladins. I think fighters/paladins/barbarians roll on d12, rangers on d10, clerics on d8, thieves and bards on d6, and mages/sorcs on d4, but don't quote me on that. I have the exact same problem with my own cleric of Lathander, who's level 14 and has HP in the low 90s.

You can also keep the game setting on "normal" for character rolls and level ups to make sure you get max HP. It's a munchkin tactic, but you'll be surprised how many soloers nudge the difficulty bar back to normal for level up then back to insane for game play.

Yeah, I'm one of them.

Actually, it probably was including the con bonus. Since cleric's roll a D8 for hit points, a 7th level cleric with 16 con on core rules should average:

[4.5 (average roll for D8) + 2 (16 con HP bonus)] * 7 (levels)
= 6.5*7 = 45.5 hit points

So 40 isn't much below average... you were probably just set to core or greater difficulty for that game.

Anyone know if you take that same roll, export the character, start a new game on "normal" difficulty, import the roll, then launch it, whether that will create a new version of that character with the max 70HP?
