If u think clay golems are hard then try the adamantine golem in Nalias keep. U only do like three damage each time u hit it but it does 40+. It takes ages to kill.

You can use the buffing spell Magic Resistance, to set the resistance to a relatively low number, or you can use the offensive Lower Magic Resistance to lower the existing resistance. Magic Resistance is a percentage change of the spell to fail, so you dont need to get it all the way down before magic becomes effective.

A little nitpick:the golem you are talking about is Iron Golem. If you are a high level then you must fight Adamanite Golem. But if you do not hace Tactics Mod you are usually low level and fight Iron Golem

well its always adamantine when i do it and im probably about level 10 or 11. Maybe it is affected by the difficulty level. What difficulty do u play?

Melf's minute meteors - ignore magic resistance. One casting is enough to
kill a golem (some kind of ThacO spell is preferable beforehand, though).
Great for killing magic resistant creatures.
