Also make sure you have restoration and lesser restoration spells on your cleric to get rid of the drained levels quickly (although casting these spells sometimes makes your cleric fatigued.
SPOILER ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ IIRC, the Mace of Disruption +1 can be gotten the first time you go in the graveyard. In the Northwestern corner of the crypt, there is a pool of blood. I believe the mace was in there. I'd also like to knowk how do you get mace of disruption +2?

Use summons to tank the vampires. Use something that doesn't care about level drain. Animate Dead is an obvious choice, but Mordenkainen's Sword care as little about level drain as they do about almost anything else.
Two items allow you summon level drain immune critters too. One is the Horn of Valhalla. The berserker it summons is berserked and that makes it immune. The other is Ras, the Dancing Sword, that can animate itself as a Mordie's Sword complete with immunities and all. Both doesn't last that long, but they'll have to do since it will probably be some time until you reach level 15 (where skelly warriors and Mordie's Swords become available). Ordinary skeletons are immune too, but they are only good for a few seconds of diversion since the vampires can take them out easily with their brute strength. Aerie wont be able to do it with Turn undead... but try some of her cleric spells... Holy Smite should work wonders on the critters, or try Fireball (it does 1d6 per level instead of 1d4). Or, if in a mage-heavy group, try lots of magic-missiles.
I usually just have summons to tank, and all my other characters have ranged weapons.

I just created many undead (priest "animate undead") and made a massive attack,
it worked so well because tha vampire tried some magic on the skeletons while I was killin her with my arrows!!!

Just trust in your own instinct and wits when you're playing Baldur's Gate II. After some time you will find you own tactic when dealing with the harder creatures in the game. And it's more fun using your own tactics than using tactics someone else has created.
