What I hate about theives is when u are about to steal something from a chest w/ an alarm, as soon as u open it u leave the shadows, Whts w/ tht? The only way not to have tht happen is to use improved invisibility! I figured tht out first when stealing the sun god statue.

thats one thing i liked about morrowind. you can steal all you want(while sneaking) as long as someone isnt looking directly at you(you have to have a decent sneak skill, of course).

Well, I think the game tried to be realistic. You can't stay hidden in the shadows while opening a chest in the light! Same kind of thing when going from area to area.

Erhm, Zorak. It is usually only evil parties who ever need to donate. The good parties will get their hearts desire, and more, in reputation just from the quests.

Exclamation

Other thatn the ones above:
A really good weapon in each group, as some grops have no weapons that are useful near the end of the game, and the points in those groups feel wasted.

A multiplayer battle arena, where you can export and fight your characters, would settle many class arguements!

More big battles, not with really difficult enemies, but with eaves of easy and medium ones, a bit like in kuldahar in ID2.

More al fresco battles, alright i know it is called DUNGEONS and dragons but the tight corridors get a bit repetitive.

More two handed weaponary, like the axes and hammers in the icewind dale series

Well those are my views anyway!

While I generally hated clearing out all those wilderness areas (booooring) in BG1 it did provide a sense of distance and space in the game. If something similar were here it would make just trotting off to Trademeet just because I want to pick up a certain belt something to actually consider.

Having access to your actual BG1 party at the start of the game would be great. You can tell your computer just who was in your party and at the start of BG2 it would select two of your former party members to be in those cages instead of Jaheira and Minsc.

Having some sense of the time of day or even days passing would be interesting. If you go into the Copper Coronet just before dawn you should expect to see a different crowd than the just before sunset crowd.

Some real consequences for being evil. You murder some innocent bystander and you spend the game getting hunted by guards.

Better responses from good NPC’s to evil acts. Valygar and Nalia would leave if you kill an innocent bystander. Keldorn and Mazzy would help the guards hunt you down if you got out of hand.

Better dialogue options, not just one good aligned option, one neutral and one evil but a range that actually makes you think and actually roleplay.

Some randomized trap locations so a thief can actually be useful to a party.

I luved those wilderness areas, for the same reason as above and cause of all the possibilities for secret little hidden caches (ie: that diamond and ring you find in bg1).

I also like the idea of being hunted by guards if you kill an innocent bystander.

If you kill an inocent and no one is around to report it, then you don't lose the reputation. (Once killed a bystander that went hostile. No one was around and I lost 10 rep., and the guards decided to pay a visit. No witnesses should mean no penalties. Afterall they didn't exactly have forensic sciences in that dimension.)
