When you are misled, and you attack or cast a spell, you become visible for a brief moment. Some enemies, eg. beholders, have short casting times and they can still hit you. Though rarely.
The plural of drow is drow. Same goes for illithid.

Actually, until your Mislead clone is dispelled, or the duration runs out, you will turn not visible at all irregardless of what you do. A Mage can literally go around doing anything he/she likes to the creatures and they will not respond unless they can see invisible units( like Demons or Liches).
Certain creatures however, have scripts that have nothing to do with seeing you at all. Umber Hulks for example, will still autocast their Confusion spell at you, even though they cannot see you and you did nothing other than walk near them. Beyond that initial casting however, they are totally helpless against you. |

The eerie thing was that they did not move at all from their spawn location, and neither could I until the stun wore off. Kinda tense hoping that the Mislead spell will last longer than the stun( it did). |

Improved undead also cast very fast so it's not only the first spell they attack with but also later in the fight. Even though they can't see you most of the time, sometimes when you attack (under Mislead of course) you can be seen for a brief moment. Enough for them to cast Spook or Doom or whatever.
So you must always protect from fear even when invisible under Mislead.

Hmmm... Mind Flayers are supposed to sense an intelligent being's thoughts. They don't see you, but they know where you are. Is it implemented in the game?

(ToB area WK spoilers)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In WK in the level before the imprisoned one there is a group of six enemies including the Hive Mother. They were the tactics school for me (sorcerer lvl 20). Begin the battle and stay there until the end of it. Have not tried them with the mistead tactic described above, but I doubt it will succed. Also I'm curious about Shangalar opinion about that tactic. I'll try and I'll tell you the results. |
