Acid, poison or fire damaging katanas

I have also managed to kill some trolls with bare physical damage, but the killing went perfectly bugged. When I score a critical on a troll in 'near death' state but still fighting, his hp drop to zero, and he dies (how surprising!!), giving me the xp and kill number statistics. But then a 'dead' troll is spawned lying on the floor, which needs just a match to die a second death and give me the second bunch of xp [img]smile.gif[/img]

Can you get Flail Of Ages somehow?

Of course - you have to get through trolls to get it [img]tongue.gif[/img] I don't know, I've never tried to solo a kensai before through that part of the game - hell, you might not even have to have it fully assembled to finish trolls, if you know what I mean...

The main idea of my game is to use katanas and katanas only if possible. I may use the Sword Of Flame +1 to finish off some trolls, I may use the Warhammer +4 vs. Giantkin to kill the ****ing Kangaxx etc. But I cant imagine a kensai wielding a flail... Its designated for some other type of warriors... (am I right?)

The Kensai is the sword saint. Now, now... I know he can use Flails and Warhammers, and in fact they are a better powergaming choice than swords, but if you want to remain true to the spirit of your kit, stick to the following,

Katana, Ninja-To( NOT Scimitar), Long Sword and Waikashis( however you spell it).

Note that we are pushing it with the Long Sword already.

Any long sword of +4 enchantment available in ch3? I really need that Ring of Gaax, you know...

And I definitely do't want to use Warhammers... Maybe for Clay Golems only??

don't forget the 2 handed sword (Oriental version is the No-Dachi IIRC)

Flame Tongue (not to be confused with Sword of Flame) hits as +4 against Kangaxx, you can find it in the druid grove.

I thought it was called a "Tachi." (Easily do-able in-game: Katana proficiency, but classified as a 2-handed weapon.)

Why do you need a katana specifically? Whatever the weapon proficiencies you have, the Flail of Ages raw power (essentially +6, with +3 damage and +1 fire, cold and acid damage + a chance of slowing your enemy...more easily obtainable is the battle axe, Frostreaver, also powerful, also within Nalia's Keep. Other strategies are Melf's acid arrows, acid arrows, fire arrows or just plain running your butt off when you see one (clue:no enemy can open doors.) Thus you can avoid them until you get a serious troll-killer, and then watch them run for cover! Bwahahahahaha!
