There are many characters that cheat with there stats... probably done so that they are equal/superior to the player, that he/she has a challenge.. [img]graemlins/1ponder.gif[/img]

He does indeed have Improved Alacrity ( no pause between spells ) in the cutscenes. He's the most powerfull elven mage ever to be around, as powerfull as they can get. It'd look a bit stupid to see him cast a spell, yell "die !" and then wait around for a while before casting again.

Newayz ... if you want to experience a small part of the power jonny really has, download the improved Irenicus and shudder at a Irenicus with permanent Improved Alacrity, the Robe of Vecna and unlimited spells. It's without his personalized spells though ( the lightning and double desintegrate. special effects and stuff ) .. if he had that too, he'd be a touch unbeatable I think

Didn't say that giant, I said it just pumps up the casting speed for a mage. With the Robe of Vecna and Improved Alacrity acquired a mage can cast spells one after another almost instantly.

Actually, I don't think it is Improved ALacrity that JOn has going, it's Daergh's Aura Cleansing.

Don't forget that Irenicus didn't do it alone. Bodhi is a very capable ally, and as a vampire has the innate ability to dominate others. No doubt that proved quite handy in taking over Spellhold... she may have dominated key Spellhold insiders some time before the actual assault to help undermine its defenses from within.

Remember Perth the Adept in Brynnlaw? Testing your party seems to have been primarily Bodhi's mission. Perth's "test subject" babbling comments were probably more in line with being under Bodhi's domination than Irenicus's. Now, what happened to the Director ("a bad reaction to a spell" was what Irenicus said if I recall) sounds more like Irenicus's doing.
