Minsc got this nice ability called bersekers rage that when he uses it he will be completely immune to all psionics and stun effects, fear etc. When I went trough that dungeon, I had Minsc(He had high AC to defend himself against the INT draining mindflayers) in the front equipped with daystar holding the front line. My archer and spellcaster(equipped with Melfs Minute Meteors) was standing in the rear providing artillery fire. Evertyhing fell pretty quick and I sorta just waltzed trough that lair.

Just a minor correction, SixOfSpades. Psionics ignore Magic Resistance.

:grumbles about yet another minus for the current incarnation of the Wizard Slayer:
BTW, Dundee, did you see that patch of code Weimer posted today (or yesterday), on the subject of how his Improved Undead are able to see the invisible? It seems that the man doesn't even know how to have his critters actually cast spells: Every single thing was ReallyForceSpell. Gee, thanks, Weimer, good to know that you think your guys should be immune to spell disruption.

Why another minus point for the Wizard Slayer? Psionics affect everybody, even Monks or Paladin wielding Carsomyr. Besides... I always felt that people fail to appreciate the Wizard Slayer's innate ability to induce Casting Failure onto his/her target. It ignores Stoneskins, Mirror Image and such. Only total immunity to his/her weapon will negate the effects, working much like STR-Drain and such. It is much more evil than most people give it credit for.
As for the script, I already expected as much, judging from the way they casted their spells in the game. |

![]() And everything that ignores Magic Resistance is yet another crushing blow to the Wizard Slayer, because without MR, they have to rely on their Saving Throws--and if they're one of the tall races, their Saves just aren't gonna cut it. The only items they can wear that grant Save bonuses are the Helm of Balduran, and the Helm of Defense. When your Save vs. Spells is *5,* no way are you going to be Tanking against the Twisted Rune, 20% MR or no 20% MR.
