Which in raw +'s means?

it increases all roles, but it's not actually displayed, and when i've tried to see what sort of boost, i couldn't really tell what the effect of the song was, and what was pure "luck"

It's dificult to say since the effects don't show up on the "Report" screen, but I believe it's +1/+5%, like the Wizard's "Luck" spell. It may increase with greater levels.

I do know that I've been able to use it to control Minsc when he'd go berserk.

I know it's been said before, but since Bards are designed as a supporting character in general they're tough to solo. This doesn't mean it's not doable, when in fact any solo is quite doable. But if you're gonna do it do it right and make it a Blade.
