I was just wondering, would the surface people in underdark attack you if you like cast mass invisibility(damn, never realised there were so many "i's" in "invisibility") and run past them, and then come back after youre turned back to human(or whatever)? just a thought.

my most memorable fight was with the shadow dragon, solo with my F/T/M, I refused to use cheesy tactics like setting traps and sleeping, the only buff I used was stoneskin.

it was unbelievably tough until he wing buffetted me into the columns on the north side of his chamber he couldn't reach me so I could reduce his MR and hit him with spells until he played frog *croak*

Firkraag was my favorite.

Irenicus was a pushover except the final battle was a little tough thanks to his friends.

My favorite boss fight of all is the dragon at the end of IWD:HOW.

They would probably still be hostile--you have to go past them several times (Rescue Phaere, get the svirfneblin helmet, get somebody's blood), and the odds that BioWare gave them a script to turn Neutral and start talking just on the rare chance that someone would actually sneak past them 4 times are rather slim. Besides, you might not get the Dragon's Breath.

Those guys were actually a pushover in my current game. I'd gotten into the habit of "This is the Underdark, so Imoen goes Stealth and scouts for us," so we saw them before they saw us. Nalia happened to have 5 Webs memorized, which, when coupled with the Firecam Full Plate and Ring of Free Action I mentioned earlier, made the fight a rather lopsided one.

Without a doubt, the first time i beat Firkraag in battle. I had a party of six reasonably low level characters and it took forever to beat him. It was salvo after salvo of MMs that finally got him. I went to bed feeling so chuffed that night.

I have to say, the MOST impressed I've ever felt in any computer game was the first time I ever played BG2, right after I got my fighter stronghold. I remembered reading something about strongholds in the promos, but I never thought I would get a full-on CASTLE !!! I was walking around the house for a while after that just grinning and saying "dude, I have a Castle !" to my friend who was over (luckily he was pretty impressed by it too or I would have felt like a right git, lol).

My first Dragon-slaying (shadow dragon) was my second most Ego-Boosting moment in PC gaming.

BG2 is just such an awesome game, you just don't get the same feeling of accomplishment in FPS,RTS,etc (or other RPG's for that matter)

i just remembered the first ego boosting thing i did. before it happened, my friend and his sisters boyfriend, who happened to be a RPG gamer, both said that the dragons in BG2 CANNOT BE KILLED. so when i went through the temple ruins, i had accidently thrown away the ward stone, so the Shadow Dragon was hostile, i thought id just see how badly ill be beat, then i fought, cast haste, strength of one etc. etc., and all of a sudden old shady was injured. i thougth to myself, not bad, i got him injured. then keldorn scored a critical hit and my pc did too, and BOOM, shadys down to near death. then i thought, still beliving them to be impossible to beat just thought they would do something to kill everyone but then i cast magic missle and there goes shady. i just sat there for a moment, not belivieng hes really dead, and then i called my friend and told what i did. he didnt even believe me! a fool to have doubted the skills of my mighty barbarian
