You would think a sword would be immune to most magic, wouldn,t you? But I suppose they have to have some weakness. Greater wolfwere is the best Shapeshift form!

What I find distressing is that nobody is mentioning the fact that Odin the Sorcerer PUNCHED a Dragon into unconsciousness... ...

Sheesh... I guess it was a bad mistake putting in that screenshot of an Iron Golem.

@Zuvio - the scenario was just a demonstration.
It is not meant to be 'realistic' - of course an Iron Golem will have troubles with a Mordenkainen's Sword.
Then again, Mordenkainen's Swords are not exactly your average enemy...
Most enemies are vulnerable to melee attack - and the Iron Golem is the best melee fighter you can summon, excluding Planetars. Not to mention his 100% Magic Resistance...
Actually, even the Big P's THAC0 is worse - he is only a better melee fighter thanks to his sword.

Ok, I took your demo a bit to seriously. But then again, I was thinking of using the golem against magic-users. They really lose value that way, see above. And any melee-fightertype enemy can as easily be dealt with, with skels. Furthermore. An Iron Golem as a summon, I dont see how that can be used effectively. You need a PI to get one and you're rendered motionless during the PI's existence.

But it is very much fun, having your own Iron Golem. Take a stroll through Athkatla as a IG and look at everyone watch, eyes wide-open
