I think it would be most helpful for Budzo, certainly. I'm also using the talk.bin quite extensively for the same design contest, so I would be helped too.

If this fix is made available for the two of us, should it be a release on SourceForge? Or maybe on the Official webssite? Or maybe just in the forums?

first. I will make a 0.9140031 engine
and you will see if it is useful. Perhaps
it has things you won't like. Perhaps
it does not work

If I visit the event that requires the 'execute GPDL script' first, and then try the **SHAZAM** event, everything works great for both.
If I do it the other way around, not so much. I cannot enter the cell that contains the event to call the talk.bin - I can only progress by hitting enter, and then everything in DC works again, including entering the cell, but he event does not fire.

Update - my limited test design, which contains only two events, one triggered by executing a GPDL script and the other being the talk.bin event, this engine seems to work fine.

The only weird thing, is that I am using DC at 800x600, but the engine is showing 768x600, but a screenshot reveals the whole image - 800x600. This didn't effect gameplay at all, and I don't know if it will do it for 640x480...

Hi,

I do not know if I was supposed to do this or not, but I went ahead and downloaded the engine provided by Paul Stevens and ran my module through it and everything seemed to work fine. For my own purposes this will help a great deal, so thank you very much. I will use the current engine to keep working on my module and the new one to test and to play. I am hoping to have this done soon and my daughter has expressed an interest in playing it, so this should this work great.

I am not sure how this impacts our little contest, but will make a post in that thread.
