Daleish Elf Rogue here. Probably the hardest character to start with but best in the long-run (stealth while in combat anybody?!) Wasn't impressed with the Origins story, but others must be better based on what people have said!

Doing a male Human Noble to start off with, and enjoying it so far! When do I start getting some real money though??

Memnoch, money is a lot tighter in this game than most. You literally have to sell everything you don't need to make sure you get enough health potions (until your mage gets the Heal spell anyway) and decent armour! I am level 9 and still only have around 11 gold, and there are recipes that cost 100+ gold!

I've started female mage, human and a city elf rogue. Both are quite enjoyable at this stage...very early!

Herbalism will let you make pretty much all the health poultices you need, and in conjunction with a few health spells, should be good for most things.
