sio, currently gamecube aren't doing to bad on sales figures. with big games like zelda coming out there going to do even better. PS2 is slaughtering everthing else ion the market but the x-box is doing really badly as many gamers arn't buying them purely as microsoft stopped halo from coming out on the PC when it was supposed to. its stopped my brother from buying one at least. Yes its doing reasonably well in America but the attitude in the UK is that its crap really, a childish image grown from Pokemon towards it doesnt help, and Metroid and Zelda have a march release date here with no signs of big games anywhere in sight really. Luckily my Q will play American games and Jap so im curently enjoying Metroid
I hope Nintendo get out of this as they have always been my fave and ive been forever loyal to them, I grew up on the Nes and Snes and shunned Megadrive (yes! I shunned it!) but they really need a good kicking to get in gear dont ya think

I heard a rumour that the X-box scratched CDs when playing. Is this true in the slightest?

No I have an X-Box and it has worked great for me. I just need new games(haven't gotten any since I got the thing last christmas). Some of the new games like unreal championchip and Toejam and Earl three.

I think some older version have been known to do that. It didn't cause any damage to the CD's however, so these X-boxes weren't taken out of the stores..

Is it under warranty? You might have a weak laser.

Toejam and Earl 3!?!?!? Yipee thats the first I've heard of it. The reason I've not bothered with an X-box is because no games have yet caught my fancy, that is until now , although I'm not forking out my cash yet not for the sake of one game
