Fosters Doesn't have a good reputation but I like it Yeah Stella is nice Becks (bottled) is too good not to try Tuborg is also nice Grolsch - a bit sweet but can be nice Carlsberg - not bad And I'm just talking lagers since I don't drink bitter or stout I think when he says "good" Hark means good taste. Right? I mean I drink beer cos I like it, not to get drunk, so taste is paramount. [ 04-20-2004, 11:19 AM: Message edited by: Vaskez ]

Some beers I think are decent to good.
Vaskez mentioned some good ones. I'd add 1664. Some good belgian beers: Leffe Duvel Some good beers from other countries: Mont Blanc (France) Tsingtao (China) Zlaty Bazant (Slovakia) Some german and other belgian beers are good too, I just can't recall some names now.

A Tasmanian brewery used to make a nice bottled beer I seem to remember. Cascade Tassie Tiger beer. You'll find it in some of the upmarket bottle shops in the city.

If you want to get totally slammed in a short period of time, B52s are your drink (although in a bar/pub they are usually VERY expensive):
3/4 ounce Kahlua 3/4 ounce Baileys 3/4 ounce Grand Marnier Pour directly over ice. Or try a few Melon Balls for the hot summer : 3/4 oz. Midori or dekuyper 3/4 oz. Vodka Balance with orange juice (your choice how much re how strong you want it). Or perhaps you may enjoy Sex On The Beach LOL: 1 1/2 oz. peach schnapps 1 1/2 oz. vodka 2 oz. cranberry juice 2 oz. orange juice 2 oz. pineapple juice Put in a tall glass with ice. Oh and I agree with everyone re the Long Island Ice Teas, they are great but will take you out quickly LOL because they taste so much like a regular glass of cool iced tea LOL. |

GREAT for Hot summer days with friends at the beach or a lake.
If you really want to get drunk and know that your drunk. Then go buy yourself a bottle of Myers Rum and a Small round Watermellon. Cut a plug in one end of the mellon about two inches square. Make sure you cut the plug at an inward angle so when you put it back on it doesn't fall into the inside of the mellon. after cutting the plug remove it and set to one side. Take a Long knife and poke it in and out of the plug hole 20 or 25 times. Now turn mellon with plug hole pointed down over a bucket or over a kitchen sink and allow mellon to drain for a couple minutes. Next turn mellon so plug hole is pointed up then poor the bottle of rum (any Booze will work) into the mellon when bottle is empty replace plug into hole and cover plug with painters tape to seal. stick mellon into freezer for two to three days. mellon will freeze but the Alcohol won't totaly. Pack up your day outing supplies and head for your favorite outdoor party place and have fun, Don't forget the box of straws
